First up is Diane Keaton's book room with a wrap-around bookshelf that makes me swoon. She seems to have pieces of art and vases tucked among the books as well, because my girl Keaton is a classy lady.
This may be the most envy-inducing home library I've ever seen. Karl Lagerfeld used his style and design sense to create a perfect and beautiful book space - and it even has a winding staircase! This is my dream room.
I love the mish-mash of books on Frank Sinatra's shelves. While I'm a stickler for alphabetizing and coordinating my own books, it doesn't seem Ol' Blue Eyes cares that much about any fancy organization when it comes to his library.
Julia Child's home library looked so welcoming and cozy, like the chef herself. I'd love to sit in front of that fireplace and go through the varieties of books she must have had on those shelves.
I'm very curious what kinds of books Keith Richards must have in this library. A lot of them kind of look like text books or encyclopedias, but they seem to work for him.
"Sleek" is the word that comes to mind when I see this image of Ralph Lauren's library in his Manhattan home. "Prone to stains" is another thing that comes to mind when I look at all that white furniture. Nonetheless, with those windows and that natural lighting, I'd love to sit and read here for hours.
I'm a big Woody Allen fan so I can only imagine what kind of great pieces he must have in his library. It looks very traditional and masculine but I like that the room itself seems to have a personality."
